What are y'all loving on this week?
I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours!
I've been put on a furniture HOLD by my husband. And he's right. No furniture and no rugs. More details on that to come. I'm not in the mood to talk about it right now.
Which
means that one of y'all lovelies needs to buy this table and insta-spam
my inbox with pictures of her endless styling possibilities.
I don't want to talk about how impractical this pretty is for my current lifestyle. No hood or ass coverage means she must be paired with an umbrella. Must. And let's face it, I'm more likely to be toting sixty+ pounds of babes in my arms and not fancy rain accesories. But she's still pretty. And I like her.
Be prepared my loves to see me build at least one outfit board around this pretty striped skirt. I need her in my closet. I'm going to head out this weekend to investigate in person. Those horizontal stripes could be a no-go in person. But imagine her with a pair of killer emerald heels. Or leopard flats. Yes, let's chat more about her later.
Is 2013 the year of stripes for me? I think so my loves. I think so. I especially like the tapering and strategicially placed stripes nipping you in at the waist.
I'm not completely over chevron...not quite yet anyway. Although it needs to be in small or unexpected doses. Like the inside of a closet or lining the inside or an armoire or medicine cabinet. And I think this glammy glam wallpaper is just perfect for that pop!
That block monogram is begging for me to buy him. He's dapper and sophisticated and timeless all in one. Plus he's preppy, and we know no matter how much I stray into boho territory, I always come back to preppy.

Love the pillow. I,too, have been put on a buying anything hold and I have such a long list. I have been on a stripe kick since last year and I think they are super cute and classic.
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing that pillow at the Zhush too, almost bought for Sterling's room. and yes please check out that BR skirt was just looking at it on line but stripes can be so tricky. Sorry about the no furniture buying, that is no fun! But at least you have some great pieces already!

Word to the wise- That chevron Tempaper is a pain in the arse to put up. I have it in the Marrakesh Honey Jade, and looking at it just makes me angry. However, that table, that trench, that pillow- LOVE!!

Oh striped skirt, how I love you!!!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about the chevron. I love it, but tacky people are over dosing and ruining it. I'm afraid it's going to become the pink and green polka dot of the twenty teens. Too sad :(
ReplyDeletePreppy rules, always. And that skirt is amazeballs.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the above. The skirt...I neeeed it :) Can't get enough stripes!
ReplyDeleteYeah, just cannot justify a trench coat...I HATE carrying an umbrella , especially with 2 babes in tow, so...that leaves me to my Patagonia rain coat, a great purchase which gets tons of use! And I'm loving the Gap right now, just need to lose baby weight first! They've really stepped it up for our age/lifestyle lately!
ReplyDeleteI think I just fell in love with that Rhyme & Echo Corey trench! Haha ;) X
ReplyDeleteI love that console table! It'll be perfect for a mood board I'm doing for a client! xo
ReplyDeleteHave you been to check out the striped skirt yet? I did and got it and love it.
